8 Year-Old Boy Killed in Scotland Bicycle Accident.

8 year-old Kyle Allan was killed this past Tuesday evening after being struck by a mobile crane while he was riding his bike along a busy road in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Kyle’s 7 year-old brother Ryan, who had been playing hide and seek with Kyle just before the fatal bicycle accident, ran home and hysterically shouted that Kyle had been hit by a crane.

According to Kyle’s mother, Kyle was trying to flee on his bike during a game of hide-and-seek when his bike went down a hill. Unable to stop the bike in time, Kyle propelled out into the busy Great Northern Road where he was struck by the crane.

A Scotland Police representative said that Kyle was transported from the scene of the bike crash to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he later succumbed to his extensive personal injuries.

Mandy McGill, who had driven her car in the area before the fatal crash, said that she had to suddenly brake to avoid three young children who were weaving in and out of traffic on their bikes.

No charges are expected to be filed against the crane operator. Investigations into the wrongful death and the safety measures on the Great Northern Road are ongoing.
