Young Bike Rider Injured in Hit-And-Run Accident in Auburn, New York.

Police in Auburn, New York are saying that a young male bike rider was injured this past Tuesday afternoon when a dark colored sedan struck the child’s bicycle and fled the scene of the bike accident.

The young boy, whose name is not being released, was riding his bicycle at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday April 16, near Chedell Place and South Street in Auburn. At that time, a dark-colored sedan, turning into Chedell Place, struck the child and sped away from the area after briefly speaking with the child.

The boy was taken to a nearby hospital emergency room to receive medical attention. The young bicyclist’s personal injuries are believed to be minor and non-life threatening.

The Auburn Police Department is now searching for the driver of the sedan, described as a male in his early 20’s with brown hair and medium build.

Local investigations into the hit-and-run bicycle accident are ongoing.
