Cyclist, Child in Bike Trailer Hurt In Motor Vehicle Crash.

Authorities report that a car struck a bicyclist who was pulling a trailer with a child in it in Portland, Oregon on November 26.

The bike accident occurred when the cyclist stopped behind two cars at a red light. A third car then approached from behind and struck the back of the trailer, trapping the cyclist and the trailer between the cars. Both the cyclist and the child were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the car accident.

The driver of the third car has cooperated with local police, and it appears that drugs or alcohol were not factors in the bike crash. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the bicycle accident.
